• decreased in the number of dorsal horn neurons at E18.5
• peripherally projecting neurons show darker stained shortened axons present through the midline region of the spinal cord with premature termination of axons
• axons projecting from the dorsal root into the dorsal horn are absent
• smaller population with a distinct lack of peripherally extending neurons
• medial motor axons, projecting towards the ventral root and midline, are absent
• dI3 cells often migrate in a more random direction compared to wild-type controls
• expression analysis indicates loss of dI4 interneurons
• expression analysis indicates loss of dI5 interneurons
• decreased in the number of dorsal horn neurons at E18.5
