N normal phenotype
reproductive system
• spermatozoa exhibit low maximum bending angles of the midpiece in primary anti-hook curvature in capacitating medium, indicating impaired hyperactivation
• percentage of progressively motile spermatozoa is reduced, likely due to their circular motion
• however, mice do not exhibit a reduction in the percentage of motile spermatozoa
• velocity parameters of spermatozoa, including average path velocity, straight-line velocity, and curvilinear velocity, are impaired
• flagellar beating pattern of spermatozoa shows an asymmetric waveform
• males exhibit impaired fertility
• however, no abnormalities are seen in gross morphology or weight of the testis or in spermatozoa
