N normal phenotype
cardiovascular system
• cardiomyocyte size is increased
• however, mice show normal cardiac morphology, heart-to-heart body ratio, hypertrophic marker expression, and cardiac function under physiological conditions
• the number of proliferating cardiomyocytes is reduced in 7-day-old mice
• 1-day-old mice subjected to myocardial infraction induced by coronary artery ligation show a decrease in cardiomyocyte proliferation, increased fibrotic area, and greater impairment of cardiac function, indicating hindered cardiac regeneration

homeostasis/metabolism
• 1-day-old mice subjected to myocardial infraction induced by coronary artery ligation show a decrease in cardiomyocyte proliferation, increased fibrotic area, and greater impairment of cardiac function, indicating hindered cardiac regeneration

muscle
• cardiomyocyte size is increased
• however, mice show normal cardiac morphology, heart-to-heart body ratio, hypertrophic marker expression, and cardiac function under physiological conditions
