• recognition memory using a novel object recognition test; mice do not show any preference for exploring either familiar or novel objects in the novel object recognition test
• in the Morris water maze, mice show a difference in the escape latency after 1 day of training, indicating impaired spatial learning
• in the probe trial of the Morris water maze, mice show a decrease in platform crossing and quadrant crossing
• however, no differences in the Y-maze are seen
• mice show increased anxiety, spending less time in the open field center
• in the social novelty test, mice show no difference in chambers containing an unfamiliar or a familiar mouse
• in the three-chamber social test, mice show no preference for either the chamber containing an unfamiliar mouse or an empty chamber

nervous system
• the maximum dendritic span is smaller
• total spine density is decreased
• neuronal dendrite length is decreased in the cortex
• basal dendrites and apical dendrites of neurons in CA1 zone are reduced

• mouse neural stem cells in culture form smaller neurosphere structures, show decreased proliferation
