• mice have mild splenomegaly resulting from increased cell number
• marginal zone B cell numbers are reduced about 40%
• thymocytes have reduced rates of apoptosis in culture
• B cell proliferation is enhanced to anti-IgM and anti-CD40 but not to LPS
• T cells hyper-proliferate in response to anti-CD3 and anti-CD28 stimulation
• thymocytes hyper-proliferate in response to anti-CD3 and anti-CD28 stimulation
• there is a modest decrease in TGF-beta1 secretion by regulatory T cells
• IFN-gamma secretion by T cells is doubled after activation compared to controls
• thymocytes and T cells secrete more IL-2 after activation relative to controls
