• mutants exhibit normal motor activity, exploratory behavior, and vertical activity in the open-field test at all ages tested
• in the Barnes maze, mutant females exhibit longer latency to find the target hole during the acquisition phase and the reversal learning phase compared to wild-type females, however no differences are seen between mutant and wild-type males, indicating impaired spatial learning and memory in 15 month old females
• in the Barnes maze, mutant females exhibit longer latency to find the target hole during the reversal learning phase compared to wild-type females, indicating impaired long-term learning and memory
• in a delayed alternation test, mutants show a longer latency to find the escape platform at 15 months of age compared to wild-type mice, indicating a minor impairment in working memory
