• mice infected intranasally with 1 x 105 PFU of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) A2 show a modest but significant reduction in lung CXCL10 levels at day 4 but not at day 7 post-infection relative to RSV-infected wild-type controls
• mice infected intranasally with 1 x 105 PFU of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) A2 show a modest but significant reduction in lung interleukin-1 beta levels at day 4 post-infection relative to RSV-infected wild-type controls
• mice infected intranasally with 1 x 105 PFU of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) A2 exhibit greater weight loss from 5 to 7 days post-infection (dpi), higher levels of viral RNA in lung tissue at 4 dpi but not at 7 dpi, and a higher percentage of live CD8+ cells in the lungs at 7 dpi relative to RSV-infected wild-type controls
