Glossary Term Ethidium Bromide
Definition A fluorescent dye that intercalates between base pairs in double-stranded nucleic acids or between bases in single-stranded nucleic acids. Ethidium bromide is commonly used to visualize DNA on agarose gels. See the Image at Wikipedia.
