Glossary Term Gene Model
Definition A representation of an mRNA transcript of a gene that contains information about features of the transcript such as exon- intron boundaries, splice sites, UTRs, etc. Due to alternative splicing of mRNA transcripts, there may be more than one gene model for any given gene.
