Pou4f1^tm1Nat/Pou4f1^tm1Nat (left) and +/+ wild-type (right) siblings at birth. The +/+ wild-type mouse has nursed as seen by the presence of milk in its stomach (arrowhead); the homozygous mouse has not. Both mice were placed on their backs and photographed over the ensuing several minutes. The +/+ wild-type mouse uses a forelimb to right itself (arrow in B); the homozygous mouse extends its limbs, head and trunk but fails to right itself.
