Caption | For each staining condition, pairs of sections are shown from the rostral and caudal regions of the inferior olivary nucleus. In +/+ wild-type mice, the patterns of Pou4f1 (A & C) and Pou4f2 (E & G) immunoreactivity are similar in both rostral and caudal regions of the inferior olivary nucleus, except tha Pou4f2 immunoreactivity is weak or absent in the dorsal division in the caudal region (vertical arrows in C & G). In Pou4f1tm1Nat/Pou4f1tm1Nat mice, Pou4f1 immunoreactivity is absent (B & D), and Pou4f2 immunoreactivity shows little change (F & H).
