Krt71 immunoreactivity shows linear filaments in the IRS of vibrissae and dorsal pelage hair follicles (arrows in a and e). In the homozygous or heterozygous mutant mouse, the Krt71 innumoreactivity shows aggregates in Henle's and Huxley's layers of the IRS (arrows in b and f) but not in the cuticle.
