Spleen and thymus from wild type (left) and Socs1^tm1Kish/Socs1^tm1Kish mice (right) at 1 and 10 days of age. Hematoxylin and eosin stained sections of the spleen and thymus from homozygous mutant mice at 10 days old reveal decreased lymphocytes. The low magnification reveals a distorted shape and partial atrophy of white pulp in the spleen and an indistinct borderline between cortex and medulla in the thymus of the homozygous mutant mice.
