Cleft palate incidence was determined at E16 (L) and E15 (M) of Gab1^tm4Wbm/Gab1^tm4Wbm (deltaPI3K/deltaPI3K), Gab1^tm3Wbm/Gab1^tm3Wbm (deltaGrb3/deltaGrb3), Gab1^tm2Wbm/Gab1^tm2Wbm (deltaMet/deltaMet), Gab1^tm1Wbm/Gab1^tm1Wbm (Gab1^-/^-) and Gab1^tm3Wbm/Gab1^tm3Wbm Met^tm1Cbm/Met⁺ (deltaGrb2/deltaGrb2 Met +/-) mice . There was a significant difference in cleft palate incidence between Gab1^tm3Wbm/Gab1^tm3Wbm and Gab1^tm3Wbm/Gab1^tm3Wbm Met^tm1Cbm/Met⁺ mice and controls. *, P<0.05. Coronal sections of stage 16 embryos reveal a closed palate in Gab1^tm4Wbm/Gab1^tm4Wbm mice (L) and open palates were found in Gab1^tm3Wbm/Gab1^tm3Wbm mice (M) and Gab1^tm2Wbm/Gab1^tm2Wbm mice (N).
