A: Western blot analysis of STAT3 in forebrain, hypothalamus, and cerebellum in wild type (WT) and Stat3^tm1Flv/Stat3^tm1Flv Tg(Nes-cre)1Kln/0 mice (KO) mice. The blot was stripped and reprobed with a STAT1 Ab as a control. B: Heterozygous and obese homozygous mice compared to a Lepr^db/Lepr^db (db/db) mutant. C: NMR imaging by using a minispec MQ10 analyzed (Bruker, Woodlands, TX) of wild type, KO, and db/db mice (n=4) showing total fat and lean mass as well as free fluid. Data are given as percentage of total body weight.
