Image
Caption Hepatic lipid accumulation is observed in 5 month old male mice on a standard or high fat (HF) diet. A: Hematoxylin and eosin liver histology of wild type (WT) and Ppargtm1Lja/Pparg+ (KI) mice. Both macrovesicular and microvesicular fat depositions are observed in mutant mice on a HF diet. PV, peripheral vein; CV, central vein. B: Hepatic TG (triglyceride) content for wild type and mutant mice. The mean +/- standard deviation is presented for the four groups of 5 month old mal mice; n = 4 or 5 for each group.
