Phenotype Image Detail
Image
Caption Abnormalities in angiogenesis are evident in the placenta of Med1tm1Jkr/Med1tm1Jkr (PBP-/-, B) embryos, where the rich capillary network observed in the wild-type (WT, A) had failed to develop. Unlike the placental anomaly, the mutant embryos had excessive vascularization especially along the paraspinal region (arrows, D) when the controls were compared (C). Sections A and B were stained with hematoxylin and eosin.
