Lack of an open connection between the right atrium and ventricle in Hey2^tm1Gess/Hey2^tm1Gess embryo at E13.5. This is also seen in all consecutive sections through the heart. In a Hey2⁺/Hey2^tm1Gess (+/-) control embryo, the valve opens correctly. LV, RV: left, right ventricle; MV: mitral valve; TV: tricuspid valve; IVS: interventricular septum.
