Caption Ghrhrlit/Ghrhrlit (right) and Ghrhrlit/Ghrhr+ (left). The homozygous mutants are characterized by a deficiency in pituitary growth hormone and prolactin and growth retardation. Homozygous male mice have reduced fertility and female mice show a delay in lactation.
