Neb^tm1(cre)Chen/Neb^tm1(cre)Chen (KO) mice are born at a similar weight as their wild-type littermates but die at postnatal day 8-11 at a weight ~25% of that of their wild-type littermates. A: Mutant mice at postnatal days 1 and 8 as compared with wild-type (wt) littermate controls. B: Typical growth of mutant mice compared with wild-type littermate control mice from postnatal day 1-11 when mutant mice die. No statistical differences between wild-type and mutant pups were observed. Numbers above the bars for mutant mice indicate the number of remaining viable mice. Error bars represent SEM.
