Skin morphology. Three-month old Errfi1^tm1.1Jwj/Errfi1^tm1.1Jwj (Mig-6^-/-) mice developed papillomas on the ears pierced with an ear tag (A), thickening of the foot pad (C), and the tail skin (G), but the wild-type (WT) ear (B), foot pad (D), and tail (H) were normal. H&E staining shows that mutant mice have epidermal hyperplasia in the ear wounding area (E) and tail skin (I), however the wild-type ear (F) and tail (J) are normal.
