Caption | Uterine morphology at nine months of age. The Errfi1tm1.1Jwj/Errfi1tm1.1Jwj ((Mig-6-/-) uterus is diffusely enlarged compared to the wild-type (WT,A). By light microscopy, the mutant uterus (B) has an increased number of endometrial glands compared to the wild-type (C). At higher magnification, the mutant uterus (D) has hyperplasia of both luminal and glandular epithelia, characterized by stratification of epithelial cells, nuclear enlargement, and the presence of highly branched glands. These microscopic features were absent in the wild-type uterus (E). | ||||
