(A and B) Paraffin sections of decalcified proximal femur (A) and proximal tibia (B) of wild-type (WT), Fgfr3^tm1Schl/Fgfr3^tm1Schl (Fgfr3b^-/-), and Fgfr3^tm2Schl/Fgfr3^tm2Schl (Fgfr3c^-/-) mice. Sections were stained with H&E. The proliferative zone (P) of the growth plate is marked with a black bar. The hypertrophic zone (H) and trabecualr bone (T) are indicated. Note the increased height of the proliferative zone in the femur and tibia of the Fgfr3^tm2Schl/Fgfr3^tm2Schl mouse relative to the wild-type and v Fgfr3^tm1Schl/Fgfr3^tm1Schl mice.
