Higher magnifications of the whole unfixed, unstained wild-type (Adam17^+/+), Adam17^tm1Imx/Adam17⁺ (Adam17^deltaZn/+) and Adam17^tm1Imx/Adam17^tm1Imx (Adam17^{deltaZn/deltaZn}) embryos at E14.5 (A,B,C) and E17.5 (D,E,F) as in Figure 1. Homozygous mutant embryos (C,F) exhibited blood pooling (star) and loss of visible vascular structures (arrowheads); e=ear.
