Plcg2^tm1Jni/Plcg2^tm1Jni mice are protected from mBSA-induced arthritis independently of B cells. Wild-type (WT) (A, B), Plcg2^tm1Jni/Plcg2^tm1Jni (PLCgamma2-/-) (C, D), mice were immunized with mBSA and injected intraarticularly with mBSA to induce arthritis or with PBS as a negative control. Histological sections of control PBS or mBSA injected knees were TRAP stained. Cellular infiltrates (stars), osteoclasts (red cells) and bone erosion (arrows) are depicted. Images were taken using a Nikon inverted microscope and a CoolSnap camera, magnification 20x.
