Caption | Ticam1 deficiency confers protective effects against dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced colitis and flagellin-mediated exacerbation of DSS-induced colitis. Flagellin-exacerbated DSS-induced colitis was relieved in Ticam1Lps2/Ticam1Lps2 (TRIF-KO) mice compared with wild-type (WT) mice. Mutant (n = 14) and WT (n = 21) mice were fed with DSS (3%) for total 9 days, and mice were treated with flagellin enema (0.8 - 1.0 ug/mouse/day) during the last 5 days. B, representative H&E-stained mid- and proximal colon tissues were prepared from flagellin-exacerbated DSS-induced colitis of mutant and WT mice. Scale bars, 100 um. | ||||
