Both the Vps18^tm1.1Wtao/Vps18⁺ Tg(Nes-cre)1Kln/0 (Vps18^F/+; Nestin-Cre) and Vps18^tm1.1Wtao/Vps18^tm1.1Wtao (Vps18^F/F) control mice grow normally. Vps18^tm1.1Wtao/Vps18^tm1.1Wtao Tg(Nes-cre)1Kln/0 (CKO) mice display severe postnatal growth retardation and are smaller at P10.
