Dlc1^Gt(XE082)Byg/Dlc1^Gt(XE082)Byg embryos. (i) X-gal stained heterozygous (Dlc1^wt/gt) and homozygous (Dlc1^gt/gt) mutant embryos and placenta showing expression of Dlc1 exon 1-beta geo fusion protein. (ii) Impairment of yolk sac blood vessel formation in homozygous mutant mouse embryos. The yolk sacs of 10.5 days post coitum (dpc) heterozygous and homozygous mutant mouse embryos with the latter, showing no detectable blood vessels. (iii) Homozygous mutant embryos showing failure to close the neural tube at the anterior part of the body (left: unstained embryos and right: X-gal stained embryos).
