Skin histology. Dorsal skin sections from homozygous Mcat^tm1.1Ssmi/Mcat^tm1.1Ssmi control (A) and Mcat^tm1.1Ssmi/Mcat^tm1.1Ssmi Tg(CAG-cre/Esr1*)5Amc/0 (B) mice were fixed, paraffin embedded, sectioned at 10 um and stained with Hematoxylin and Eosin; bar, 100 um. Histological examination reveals a severely depleted subcutaneous adipose layer as well as hyperkeratinization.
