Caption | H&E-stained sections of colon from wild-type (WT) and Fpr2tm1.2Jimw/Fpr2tm1.2Jimw (mFPR2-/-) mice treated with dextran sulfate sodium (DSS) for 5 days. Histological analysis showed that DSS treatment caused early recruitment of a significantly higher number of leukocytes, mainly neutrophils and macrophages, into the mucosal region of hte colon of wild-type mice compared with mutant mice.
