When lifted by the tail, control (Nes Ei24^f/+) mice extend their limbs, while Ei24^tm1Hzha/Ei24^tm1Hzha Tg(Nes-cre)1Kln/0 (Nes Ei24^f/f) mice have an abnormal limb-clasping reflex, adopting a bat-like posture.
