Abnormally shaped shoulder muscles of Fat1^{Gt(KST249)Byg}/Fat1^{Gt(KST249)Byg} Tg(Myl1-lacZ)1Ibdml/0 (Fat1^LacZ/LacZ) mice develop phenotypes involving reduced muscle fibres diameter and structural abnormalities. (A) Muscle architecture visualized on transverse (A1, 2) or longitudinal (A3-6) sections of rhomboid muscles from wild-type (WT) and mutant mice (20% weight loss), using antibodies against laminin and a-actinin, or toluidine blue staining.
