Loss of GLMP (NCU-G1) leads to liver fibrosis and splenomegaly in 6-month-old mice. (A) Representative livers from wild-type (WT) and Glmp^{Gt(P084H04)Wrst}/Glmp^{Gt(P084H04)Wrst} (Ncu-g1^gt/gt) mice. WT liver has a smooth surface with easily recognizable individual lobes, whereas the mutant liver has a fibrotic appearance and a contracted, distorted and nodular appearance. Disruption of Glmp did not result in hepatomegaly, as indicated by the liver weight:body weight ratio (P=0.23, n=6-7). (B) Representative pictures of a WT and mutant spleen. Spleen weight:body weight ratio of WT and mutant spleens shows a significantly enlarged spleen in mutant mice (n=6-7, *P=0.02).
