Histological sections of epididmyal white adipose tissue (EWAT) from control (L/L) and Fitm2^tm1.1DlsFitm2^tm1.1Dls Tg(Fabp4-cre)1Rev/? (AF2KO) mice stained with H&E or immunolocalization of F4/80. The sections shown for H&E and F4/80 are non-consecutive. Adipose tissue macrophage infiltration, as indicated by the crownlike structures surrounding adipocytes, was observed in mutants.
