Increase in size of large lipid droplets in Fitm2^tm1.1Dls/Fitm2^tm1.1Dls Tg(Fabp4-cre)1Rev/? brown adipose tissue. Histological sections of brown adipose tissue (BAT) from control (L/L) and Fitm2^tm1.1Dls/Fitm2^tm1.1Dls Tg(Fabp4-cre)1Rev/? (AF2KO) mice show the appearance of large unilocular lipid droplets (LDs) in AF2KO BAT. The graph on the right shows the quantification of triglyceride (TAG) using TLC analysis in equal amounts of BAT from AF2KO and L/L mice (n=4 mice/genotype). C, LDs were stained with BODIPY 493/503 (green) at day 6 in differentiated BAT adipocyte precursor cells. Nuclei were stained with Hoechst 33342 (blue).
