Note the abundance of spermatocytes, but lack of spermatids in the seminiferous tubules of Spo11^tm1.1Gvpc/Spo11^tm1.1Gvpc (Spo11^Gal/Gal) mice; B. Epididymus. Note the lack of spermatozoa in the Spo11^tm1.1Gvpc/Spo11^tm1.1Gvpc mice; C. Ovaries. A few follicles are evident in the Spo11^tm1.1Gvpc/Spo11^tm1.1Gvpc 3 month old females, but none in the Spo11^tm1.1Gvpc/Spo11^tm3Rdco (Spo11^Gal/-) mice.
