Representative transmission electron microscopy micrographs of the apical region of enterocytes from wild-type (WT, A) and Myo5b^{tm1a(KOMP)Wtsi}/Myo5b^{tm1a(KOMP)Wtsi} (KO, B) mice. Enterocytes from mutant mice showed shorter microvilli (MV) and a subapical region lacking microvesicle trafficking (asterisk). White arrowheads indicate apical vesicle trafficking in the WT enterocytes. Scale bar: 0.5 um.
