Neural tube closure defects are present at similar penetrance in Arhgap35^tm1Jset/Arhgap35^tm1Jset (Arhgap35^-/-) and Arhgap35^m1Bchd/Arhgap35^tm1Jset (Arhgap35^D34/-) embryos. (A-C) Whole E17.5 embryos that are Arhgap35^tm1Jset/Arhgap35^tm1Jset or compound heterozygous Arhgap35^m1Bchd/Arhgap35^tm1Jset exhibit spina bifida (closed arrowhead) and exencephaly (open arrowhead).
