Histological abnormalities in developing Rassf9^{Tg(PDLIM7*)2Cml}/Rassf9^{Tg(PDLIM7*)2Cml} lung. H&E staining of lung sections of mice at two weeks old. The homozygous mutant lung (-/-) exhibits stunted progress of saccule septation versus wild-type (+/+) lung, with grossly enlarged alveoli. In the panels of the mutant section, noticeable thickening of pulmonary alveolar epithelium can be observed (asterisks, *). (A) Low-magnification views of pulmonary alveoli.
