(C) Ventral and dorsal skin sections in Lncpint^tm1Vlcg/Lncpint^tm1Vlcg (Lincpint-/-) mice compared with heterozygous and wild-type (WT) littermates. Histological analysis of skin sections collected from the ventral and dorsal bodies revealed fibrosis and noticeable difference in hair follicle development along with a dramatic reduction in the thickness of the subcutaneous fat layer. (H) MicroCT images depict pronounced lordokyphosis (curvature of the spinal column) seen in older male and female mutant mice compared with WT littermates.
