Vestibular innervation defects in Slitrk6^tm1.1Jaru/Slitrk6^tm1.1Jaru (-/-) mice. DiI-labeled flat mounts of wild-type (WT) (A, E) and mutant (B-D, F) inner ears at E13.5 (A-D) and E15.5 (E, F). Mutant mice frequently lack innervation to the posterior crista (B, F), although, in some cases, the fiber projections to the posterior crista are misrouted (arrows in C, D). Myelin-stained flat mounts of WT (G) and mutant (H) vestibule at P28; the whole innervation to the posterior crista is lacking (arrowhead).
