Caption | Abnormal Z line organization in E14.5 Casz1Gt(CJ0565)Wtsi/Casz1Gt(CJ0565)Wtsi (Casz1betageo/betageo) heart. A, cardiomyocytes isolated from wild-type (WT, Casz1+/+) and mutant E14.5 embryo hearts were cultured in vitro for 2 days and immunostained for alpha-actinin (red) and F-actin (green), whereas the nuclei were stained with DAPI (blue). Representative images show that clear Z lines were presented in the WT cardiomyocytes, but not in the mutant cardiomyocytes. C, more representative images show that clear Z lines are present in the WT cardiomyocytes. There are no clear Z lines in these mutant cardiomyocytes, and the alpha-actinin staining pattern is distinct compared with the WT cardiomyocytes. | ||||
