Caption Transmission electron micrographs of stria vascularis of wild-type (A) and Tmprss3m1Ingm/Tmprss3m1Ingm (B) mice. In both cases, the stria vascularis shows a typical appearance with numerous blood vessels (V) and prominent basolateral infoldings of the marginal cells (M) interlacing with intermediate cell (I) digitations and normal basal cells (B). But, in the mutant animal, swelling between intermediate and marginal cell could be observed (arrow). Scale bars = 10 um.
