Analyses of proliferation in hearts of Cyp51^tm1.1Bfro/Cyp51^tm1.1Bfro (-/-) embryos. A, BrdU immunostaining of E12.5 hearts and subsequent counting of BrdU-positive cells revealed lower proliferative activity in mutant hearts (n=3, p<0.05). B, BrdU immunostaining of E14.5 hearts and subsequent counting of BrdU-positive cells showed an even more pronounced inhibition in cardiac cell proliferation in knock-out embryos at later stages of development (n=3, *, p<0.05).
