(H) Images of P12 kidneys from wild-type (WT) versus Trpm7^tm1Clph/Trpm7^tm1Clph Tg(Pax3-cre)1Joe/0 (upper) versus Trpm7^tm1Clph/Trpm7^tm1Clph Tg(Hoxb7-cre)5526Cmb/0 (lower) mice. Trpm7^tm1Clph/Trpm7^tm1Clph Tg(Pax3-cre)1Joe/0 mice have small pale kidneys. (I) Haematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining of sections from P12 kidneys. The Trpm7^tm1Clph/Trpm7^tm1Clph Tg(Hoxb7-cre)5526Cmb/0 (HoxB7-Cre) kidney histology was normal, whereas the Trpm7^tm1Clph/Trpm7^tm1Clph Tg(Pax3-cre)1Joe/0 (Pax3-Cre) kidney contained cysts and a reduced number of glomeruli.
