Caption | (C,D) RT-PCR analysis of alternative splicing of the indicated exons of wild-type (WT) and dMut (Srrm3gt/gt;Srrm4bv/bv) on E19. The RT-PCR primers were designed from the constitutive exons (white boxes) flanking the tested alternative exons (red boxes). Purple boxes indicate alternative exons whose SRRM3-SRRM4-dependent regulation is revealed by RT-PCR but was not detected by MJAY analysis. Black boxes indicate alternative exons not regulated by SRRM3-SRRM4. Thin rectangles indicate UTRs. Asterisks indicate splice forms that are predicted to be the subject of nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (NMD). Exon (ex) numbers are shown if more than one exon in the same transcript is regulated by SRRM3-SRRM4. Arrowheads indicate two sets of primer pairs used for the analysis of Atl2 splicing (C). on E19. Asterisk indicates a Cacnb4 splice form that is predicted to be the subject of NMD (D). Abbreviation: nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (NMD) |
