Caption Cherpem1(IMPC)J/Cherpem1(IMPC)J embryos cannot be recovered at E7.5 (0/32), however there are excess resorption sites suggesting mutants elicit a decidual response in vivo. Homozygous mutants are recovered at expected ratios at E3.5 and appear as irregular morula or early blastocysts. Mutants hatch from the zona pellucida and form outgrowths with no defined inner cell mass and few trophectoderm cells. RNA-seq data indicates robust zygotic and 8-cell expression.
