Dolk^em1(IMPC)J/Dolk^em1(IMPC)J mutants are recovered in expected ratios at E7.5 but are much smaller than littermates. A rudimentary egg-cylinder has formed, but no morphological primitive streak or other hallmarks typical of gastrulation at E7.5 (i.e. node, headfolds) are present.
