Eif2s1^em1(IMPC)Mbp/Eif2s1^em1(IMPC)Mbp embryos cannot be recovered at E7.5 (0/26), however excess resorption sites suggest mutants elicit a decidual response in vivo. Homozygous mutants are recovered at E3.5 and appear as early blastocysts. Mutants fail to hatch from the zona and are dead after 72hr in vitro, never forming outgrowths.
