Mcrs1^{tm1.1(KOMP)Vlcg}/Mcrs1^{tm1.1(KOMP)Vlcg} embryos cannot be recovered at E7.5 (0/32), nor are the excess resorption sites. Homozygous mutants are recovered at E3.5 in expected ratios and appear as normal blastocysts. Mutants hatch from the zona with apparent trophectoderm and primitive endoderm cells, but the inner cell mass/epiblast cells fail to form a typical outgrowth colony. RT-PCR indicates limited expression during pre-implantation but robust post-implantation expression. Very weak lacZ reporter post-implantation.
